HPC Young Adult Housing Program provides safe housing, supportive case management, educational and employment guidance with life skills classes for homeless young adults between the ages of 17-23. Participants may remain in the program based upon the desired life track chosen. This program is designed with four different tracks including a college, trade specific high school/Hi-set, as well as career and employment tracks to ensure participants graduate the program with a skill set that will provide them higher than minimum wage employment.

The Division of Youth Services (DYS) is the state agency charged with the care and treatment of delinquent youth committed to its custody by one of the 45 Missouri juvenile courts. DYS programs are established to provide the mandated services enumerated in Chapter 219.016 in the Revised Statutes of the state of Missouri. These services include assessment, care and treatment, and education of all youth committed to its care. Toward this end, DYS operates treatment programs ranging from non-residential day treatment centers through secure residential institutions. Additionally, DYS administers the Interstate Compact on Juveniles, operates an accredited school program, and maintains a statewide statistical database of juvenile court referrals. DYS is administratively organized into one central office and five regional offices.

Provides a sheriff’s department responsible for enforcing all laws and regulations, preventing crime, investigating criminal activity, apprehending, arresting and detaining suspects, provides court security, serves legal documentation and manages county jails.

Provides sex abuse/trauma counseling for veterans during military service.

Head Start is a federal program for preschool children from low-income families. Children receive educational activities, medical care, dental care, healthy meals & snacks.

Serves as a Cooling/Warming Center during periods of extreme heat or cold.

Substance Abuse Treatment and recovery services are provided to adults who are clinically indicated for substance abuse treatment. Outpatient services are offered combining both individual and group counseling in a community setting.

Provides 7-10 days worth of groceries to families in need once every four weeks. Food items include fresh produce, frozen meats, dairy products, bakery items, and canned goods.

Providing a public library

Program provides crisis intervention for women and children of domestic violence situations. Crisis intervention is both on the phone and in person.

Provides lunch Monday-Friday.

Program assists households that are at risk of having their utility services disconnected or have been disconnected and do not have the resources to have them re-established.

Provides temporary placement of children outside their home in private family homes that are licensed to provide foster care.

Cooling Center will be open during an Excessive Heat Advisory or Heat Warning as issued by the National Weather Service in Pleasant Hill.
