Eye Thrive serves low-income children by providing essential vision services. Guided by organizational values of transformational change, empowerment, compassion, equity and trust, Eye Thrive serves thousands of students every year. Through initial vision screenings Eye Thrive identifies students with possible vision impairments. The Mobile Vision Clinic team is then deployed to provide comprehensive eye exams that determine if corrective eyewear is needed. Students are provided with the glasses they need, a positive health care experience and, through our Electronic Medical Records system, the confidence to know that someone is monitoring their eye health year after year.

Our attorneys also represent low-wage workers (or help them secure outside counsel) when their rights have been violated. Low-wage workers can access our services by calling our legal help hotline and/or by attending our legal rights workshops. Low-wage workers who are experiencing harassment by debt collectors, abuse by a car dealership or finance company, shortages of their paychecks, discrimination on the job, denial of employment due to background checks, or problems with a landlord can seek assistance from us.

Home Visitation Program: Nurses monitor mother and child and conduct for co-occurring risk factors including maternal depression, stress, domestic violence, prepares a plan of action with the infants caregivers, provides educational topics and tools to address issues, improve parenting skills, help parents access external resources as needed, including diapers, formula and safety equipment to promote the health and safety of the mother and child.
