MoRx was created by the 93rd General Assembly to coordinate benefits with Medicare's (Part D) Prescription Drug Program, and to provide additional assistance for prescription drug costs to Missourians in need. MoRx pays for 50% of members' out of pocket costs remaining after their Medicare Prescription Drug Plan pays. It pays for 50% of the deductible, 50% of the co-pays before the coverage gap, 50% of the coverage gap, and 50% of co-pays in the catastrophic coverage. MoRx does not pay for the Medicare Part D Plan's monthly premium. MoRx uses the formulary of the Medicare Prescription Drug Plans. Any drug covered by a member's Medicare Drug Plan will also be covered by the MoRx plan. MoRx works with all Medicare Prescription Drug Plans. Dual eligible members will continue to have coverage for Medicare-excluded drugs through MO HealthNet. Medicare-excluded drugs include specific over-the-counter drugs, vitamins, minerals, limited cough and cold drugs, benzodiazepines and barbiturates as they are currently covered by MO HealthNet, as noted on the MO HealthNet Division Pharmacy pages. Extra help with paying for Medicare Part D costs is available from the Social Security Administration (SSA) for individuals with low income and limited assets. All dual eligibles automatically qualify for the extra help in paying for their premiums and co-pays. Other individuals may submit an application for extra help to the SSA.

Emergency assistance funds can include up to $300/year to families for assistance such as mortgage, rent, utility payments, childcare, care expenses or expenses like meals away from home and parking.

The Children's Division Child Abuse and Neglect Hotline Unit (CA/NHU) accepts confidential reports of suspected child abuse, neglect, or exploitation. Reports are received through a toll-free telephone line which is answered seven days a week, 24 hours a day. Any person may report, and anonymous reports are accepted from individuals who are not mandated by occupation to report. Calls of concern can be made to each county office. Instructions may be given for the reporter to call the toll free number of the CA/NHU for the call to be made into a formal report.

This hospital is a safe haven for persons wishing to legally surrender physical custody of their infant. Person stating that they are the parent may leave an infant (without fear of prosecution) in the hands of staff. A parent will not be prosecuted for leaving their newborn at a safe haven if they follow the laws, assuming the child is under 45 days old and shows no signs of abuse or neglect.

Pathways provides comprehensive mental health and substance abuse treatment and prevention services to pre-adolescent children through older adult populations. Also provides mental health diagnostic screenings.

Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, Section for Special Health Services, Bureau of Special Health Care Needs (SHCN) provides services for children and adults with disabilities, chronic illnesses and birth defects. SHCN administers the Children and Youth with Special Health Care needs Program (CYSHCN), Healthy Children and Youth Program (HCY), Medically Fragile Adults (MFAW), and the Family Partnership. The Adult Brain Injury Program (ABI) servies adults with a history of traumatic brain injury.Service Coordination is available for all program participants. SHCN is supported by state and federal funding, while ABI is supported soley by state funding. Limited funding is available for paid services and SHS program services serve as the payor of last resort.

The city has entered into an agreement with local cab companies to provide rides at a reduced cost. The coupons are used to pay for a one-way door-to-door trip in a taxi or wheelchair-lift equipped van.

Same Day Access (SDA) is a walk-in clinic serving people with mental health needs. Each walk-in will be seen by a mental health clinician.
