The Telecommunications Access Program for Telephone (TAP-T) provides access to basic voice telephone calling for individuals with all types of disabilities through the delivery of adaptive telephone equipment: text telephones, voice carry over phones, phone for hearing carry over, amplified phones, Braille phones, hands-free phones, photo phones and Captel phones. Training is also provided on the proper use of the equipment.

Ability KC provides CARF accredited assistive technology services through the Adaptive Computer & Communication Technology (ACCT) Program. The program targets two primary components of assistive technology- the equipment that empowers individuals with disabilities to have a voice through augmentative & alternative communication; and the adapted access method to use all forms of communication, whether it be spoken through AAC, or to use methods such as eyegaze or voice, to access personal devices that may be used for work or social connections. By understanding the unique needs of each individual served, the ACCT Program maximizes the abilities of individuals to access their daily activites through assistive technology for communication and engagement.
