Eligibility
Home must be located within city limits and not within a designated flood plain area; Owner/occupant of the home for a minimum of one year prior to applying; must be current on mortgage payments and property taxes; must have adequate homeowner's insurance policy in force; income guidelines. There may be additional program eligibility requirements based on the program.

Application, proof of income. Additional documents are required once contacted by the department.

Fees
The Emergency Repair Program is a grant that does not require payback or fees. The Deferred Loan Program is an interest-free loan that will be forgiven a maximum of 50% over the period of 7 years, with the balance of the loan due in full when the loan recipient ceases to own or occupy the home.
