Eligibility
Must be first time low-income home buyer Must be a resident age 21 years and older of St. Louis City/County in Missouri for at least one year before placing name on the Notification List Must currently live in substandard housing (leaky roof, bad plumbing, overcrowding, neighborhood problems) Must have a form of steady income Forms of income NOT accepted include Unemployment benefits, Food Stamps, Any temporary state assistance and temporary employment income Must have decent Credit Must not have declared bankruptcy in the last five years The applicant must be willing and able to partner with Habitat for Humanity Saint Louis and perform 350 hours of "sweat equity" Income guidelines based on family size, for more information go to http://aspe.hhs.gov/poverty/10poverty.shtml For more information on home-ownership go to https://www.habitatstl.org/homeownership/becomingahomebuyer/

Application process
Prospective applicants call the main office and request a pre-screen application be mailed, agency mail the applications twice a week
Fees
Applications must be returned with a $25 money order for a credit check Applications will NOT be processed without the money order
