Adoption and alteration fees are based on species, sex and size of animal.

AREA SERVED: Kansas and Missouri
Animal Control and Rescue investigates nuisance animals and inhumane treatment of animals; responds to emergencies such as animal bites, dangerous animals and wildlife exposures; and offers adoption of impounded animals, rabies vaccination clinics, spay and neuter, and disposal of deceased animals. All dogs and cats adopted from the shelter are spayed or neutered and vaccinations begun before going to their new homes. Have portable kennels they can loan out and they have some space at the Shelter to house some animals to help out flooding victims. 7/2020 (Animals must be current on shots)
