UCAN is designed to provide individualized support for area cancer patients. The mission is to help ease some of the burdens brought about in the wake of a cancer diagnosis, thereby enhancing the quality of life experienced by local cancer patients. Applications are taken for requested services and are notified within 10 days if application is approved. Services include nutritional supplements, prescription expenses, transportation assistance, medical supplies and some financial aid to support activities of daily living such as utility bills, food and household items.
