A program designed to assist older Missourians with accessing COVID-19 vaccine launched today. In partnership with the Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS), Missouri’s Area Agencies on Aging (AAAs) will assist seniors with online vaccination registration, coordinate round trip transportation to and from their vaccination appointments, and conduct reminder calls for seniors’ second doses.

YOUNG AT HEART RESOURCES
Northwest Missouri Area Agency on Aging was created in 1973, as a result of the Older Americans Act. The name changed in 2020 to Young at Heart Resources. Services include Information and Assistance, Benefits Counseling, Congregate and Home Delivered Meals, Transportation, Long Term Care Ombudsman and Family Caregiver Programs and many other services for older adults who are at least 60 years of age.
