Application process
Homeowner should begin by working with a licensed contractor or qualified energy auditor to identify qualifying energy efficiency measures for the home. The homeowner must submit a completed National Historic Preservation Act form and provide photos prior to making improvements. The homeowner then submits a loan request to City Credit Union (if not a City Credit Union Member, the homeowner must become a member in person at the credit union.) Once the loan has been approved, the contractor may begin work on the home. Go to www.independencehelp.org for more information and to complete the application.
